At Unidos South OC, we offer a range of fulfilling volunteer opportunities tailored to suit different interests and schedules.
We want to emphasize that there is no expectation of long-term commitment at this stage. Your interest and availability are what matter most. Homework Club
Provide one-on-one or group support to elementary school students as they work on their homework assignments. Offer additional educational materials and resources to reinforce learning and address any challenges students may face, while fostering a positive learning environment. We hope to offer encouragement, patience and guidance to keep our students focused.
Monday and Wednesday 3pm-5pm
Youth Night
Our Youth Night ministry is tailored for middle and high school students. This program features engaging activities and faith-based small group discussions on the topic of the night. As a Youth Night Volunteer, your role involves leading games, facilitating group discussions, and fostering a warm and inclusive atmosphere. Your involvement helps create a positive and enriching experience for our young participants.
Wednesday 5:30pm-8pm
Events
Unidos South OC host a diverse range of community events throughout the year. As an Event Support Volunteer, you can play a pivotal role in event planning, logistics, or attendee engagement. This opportunity is short-term, sometimes requiring support just for the day of the event, providing a flexible commitment that still allows for meaningful contributions to our community.
Transportation:
Support Unidos South OC by providing essential transportation assistance to groups attending various activities and events. This short-term opportunity offers a flexible commitment, usually requiring support only for the day of the event. Your reliable and friendly demeanor ensures safe and enjoyable journeys for our community.
(Must be 25/or older to drive the Unidos Van)
Miscellaneous (Misc.)
Contribute your skills and expertise in various areas, including making phone calls, assisting with administrative tasks, and supporting special projects, allowing for a flexible and meaningful volunteer experience.
Guidelines and Expectations
Our organization upholds a strong commitment to religious respect and volunteer professionalism. Volunteers are required to familiarize themselves with our Religious Respect Policy and Volunteer Handbook, which outline our principles and operational guidelines.
Additionally, in adherence to state mandates, volunteers must complete the mandated training provided by our organization. Prior certificates will not be accepted, and volunteers are expected to turn in their certificates upon completion of the training.
